Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Whoever you are and wherever you may in your journey of faith, you’re most welcome to St. John Vianney Church. Rooted in our Catholic Traditions, we live the Gospel Values and spread the Christian Message in all we do or say. We’re an open, warm and welcoming Parish Community. Having experienced the Hospitality of God, we extend it to one and all.
Our Weekend Liturgy is meaningful, fruitful and engaging; it prepares one for life. Our Sunday Liturgies are a sincere attempt, week after week, to make the Word of God relevant to our day to day life. Here at St. John Vianney, “Faith inspires life and life inspires faith”.
Heeding the call of Pope Francis, we as a Parish Community make a conscious attempt to reach out to those who’re on the margins of the society. We welcome one and all. All are welcome.
We welcome to those who are married, single or divorced; filthy rich, dirt poor or “yo no habla Ingles” you’re welcome. Gay or straight - “Who are we to judge?” you’re most welcome. We extend a special welcome to those who are crying new-borns, skinny as a rail or could afford to lose a few pounds. We welcome you if you can sing like Andrea Bocelli or like me who can’t carry a note in a bucket. You’re welcome even if you stumbled on to us or searched for us diligently.
If you’re looking for a place to call your “home” or a people to call your own, you’re most welcome. If may be that you’re away from home or just got out of jail; we don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope, or haven’t been in church since you attended the funeral of a friend, you’re welcome.
We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome those who may be hurting due to loss of health, loss of a job or loss of a home. We extend a warm welcome to those who may be grieving the loss of a relationship or a loved one; please know that we care. We’d like to help “heal wounds and warm hearts”.
Whether you’re facing problems or you’re down in the dumps or even if you don’t like “organized religion,” you’re most welcome. We offer a special welcome to those who have been hurt by the Church; we, as a Church, didn’t always get our act together in the past. Come, talk to us and let’s together see how well we could serve you.
Everyone is most welcome.
With prayers, wishes and blessings!
