Thank you for your generous donations to our St. Vincent de Paul ministry on the 5th Sunday collection at the end of January; the collection totaled $7,984. These funds will enable our parish to help many low-income families and individuals in the Walnut Creek/Concord area with food, gas, clothing, and other essentials.
Here is just one example of your donations at work:
Our SVdP group helped to keep a wonderful family of 3, including their young daughter, from becoming homeless. We provided assistance with rent and coordinated receipt of additional aid through several other programs. The father returned to his full-time job after being on Worker’s Compensation and the family will now be able to sustain a decent lifestyle. They are extremely grateful for the help they received.
So on behalf of our less fortunate brothers and sisters who receive assistance because of your generosity, we thank you and pray for God’s blessings on you!
Another opportunity to help those in need will be our next Bundle Sunday collection which will be on the weekend of March 18-19; please mark your calendars for that.
If you have a heart for reaching out to those in need, we invite you to consider joining this ministry. Please contact
