Introducing the JustFaith Program
Have you ever wondered about the mission we are called to as Catholics at the end of each Mass? Have you ever wondered what your Catholic faith has to do with racism, food justice, human trafficking, global poverty, and social justice? Is the term "Catholic Social Teaching" one of the great mysteries of the Church to you? Are you looking for ways to explore these topics and engage your spirituality and commitment to service?
JustFaith Ministries forms, informs and transforms people of faith by offering programs and resources that sustain them in their compassionate commitment to build a more just and peaceful world. Each year our parish offers a rich program of prayer, dialogue, reading and action in a justice formation program called JustFaith. More than 50 SJV parishioners are graduates!
This formation program is both for you and by you. With a rich array of materials provided by JustFaith Ministries - curriculum, books, videos, activity ideas and plans, and program outlines - you have the opportunity to build your own experience. And of course, you have the cohort of SJV graduates to drawn on for support.
The JustFaith program follows a simple, flexible framework. The process is structured around four themed phases, each of six sessions and an immersion experience. Past participants describe the experience with terms like "transformative," "life changing," and "heart opening."
JustFaith Ministries works in partnership with the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, Bread for the World, and Pax Christi USA and Pax Christi International. Additional support comes from Maryknoll and Catholic Charities USA.
